Nicely played Richard. I notice that you keep your right hand firmly attached to the guitar body which is something I am trying to cultivate because at the moment my right hand is flying all over the place like it’s trying to detach itself from the rest of me! Nice mellow tone to your guitar. There seems to be a lot of Epis doing the challenge this month.

Thanks Phil! I don’t like using a pick so the hand position just kinda came along on it’s own. I have a tough time with a lot of things but The more I practice, the better I get. Too bad I waited until I retired before I took up guitar but I sure love it. Thanks again for your nice comments, my friend

Great bluesy licks all over, Richard. Is it Epiphone 335 you are playing? I have a smaller one — 339 — but am interested in hearing how the bigger one sounds. It surely has that bigger woody tone. I liked it.

Thanks very much!! I play an Epi Dot. I was a disappointed in the sound quality of the recording but miking my amp to an iPhone loses a lot of clarity. I love this song and made a few modifications because my full bends were weak and they spoiled this beautiful melody that Brian wrote. Thanks again for you nice comments.

Nice one Richard – you made that look easy, and we all know it’s not. For me, the video and audio seemed just fine. Has anyone ever told you that if you would grow your mo a bit longer at the ends you would look a lot like a younger version of David Crosby?

That was some smooth laid back playing, the unmistakable tone of a semi-hollow . Nice job with this .

Smooth as silk! Love that fat sound you are getting from your guitar and finger style. Is that an Epiphone 335? Sounds awesome. Love those slow blues!

Thanks Dave. It’s an epi Dot which is modeled after the 335. Love the fat sound.

Isn’t that what retirement is supposed to be about. Tackle new challenges and hobbies. But since you sound so good now, if you had started earlier “you coulda been a contender“! Well played.

Thanks very much Brian. What a beautiful tune My full bends are weak so I modified a little so I could keep that sweet melody in tact. I love playing it. Just makes me feel good.
