Hi all, this as an original finger style composition, which I revised again and again in the course of 2 weeks. Initially I intended to play it on the acoustic, but I just received my new Schecter Solo-6B, and the muted bass sounds much more prominent with it.
Thank you for listening!Israel

More is not possible. Perfect game and work on the fretboard. I had a lot of fun listening to you and of course seeing what you were doing. I had to listen to it twice. Your work was worth it. Stay healthy.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Wow, you take fingerstyle to another level. Unique guitar but sounded great. Very uplifting composition and as for being an original you have musicianship through and through. Shalom and stay safe.

Goodness me, that thumb of yours was going back and forth like crazy. I think that was a wonderfully crafted piece of music and I bet it would sound great with an accompanying backing track.

Thank you guys so much for your replies and compliments, I smiled while reading (and still read the incoming comments).
I played this piece maybe a hundred times, and the chords are quite simple (A shape and E shape and twice a B7 up the nut), so the left hand doesn’t work too hard.
Thanks again, Shalom from Israel and stay healthy everyone!Israel

Fantastic composition, Isreal. Very unique and interesting sounding. The way you just took of playing after that slower introduction was totally unexpected for me and a blast. That new Schecter is a beauty and sounds great. Great playing man!

Yes! that’s what I’m talking about… man you’ve got the Merle Travis / Chet fingerstyle technique down great… loved it! Even cooler than you wrote it. You’ve got a real gift my friend.

A+ Israel! Great original song and played perfectly. That new guitar sounds awesome, and it looks awesome as well. I’m pretty sure you could just climb onto it and blast off into space leaving a trail of diamond dust behind you.

Wow, This is definitely a masterful playing on your part, Israel. That’s a great guitar to play a tune like this. Thick and airy.

That guitar was causing a dislocation in the visual spectrum every time you moved it around (ha, ha).
That was some great picking on a very nice composition. Had to watch it twice. I do you remember you picking on ep336, that was great, too. You are wonderful at this style.

Dang man that was some impressive fingerstyle playing and sounded amazing on that guitar. And on top of that you wrote this yourself…could be the next EP as others have said. Excellent!

Everything is said … I would settle for having 10% of that technique … how to get it?

Hi, Santiago P, when I learned fingerstyle I tried several days all kinds of youtube videos and couldn’t get it. The way that I eventually learned is from tabs. I found a Chet Atkins tab sheet called Baby’s Coming Home (search for Baby’s Coming Home tab), but there is also EP057 with tab too.
The way I learned is to ignore rhythm altogether, just follow the tab. Bass, note, bass, note, note, etc… until you memorize it (or significant part of it). And then just play what you learned, and trying to follow the rhythm. After sometime you become conscious that you play finger style, and become aware of your thumb playing rhythm and other fingers playing melody in various places, on the thumb beats and between thumb beats.Israel
