I heard thru the grapevine you were messing with a slide, I’d say you pretty much conquered it Bryce. Something about the slide it’s just so damn bluesy! Nice to see you…

Bryce, that took me back to my late teens when I was a great fan of the original Fleetwood Mac that featured Jeremy Spencer on slide guitar. I went to see them perform a number of times while I was a student in Nottingham. U.K. Your slide playing is so reminiscent of the sound that they used to produce. You played that so well. Great tone on that guitar, like it was made for slide. Thank you.

Well played Bryce, a great tone, just a really good piece of slide guitar.
But the best thing about your contribution is just that, you’re contributing again to something you had no small part in building. It’s so good to see you here again and I know I won’t be alone in welcoming you back. As Administrator you gave a lot of help to many of us, and there were several occasions when you helped me directly. Great to see you Bryce.

Bryce, Since I just can’t play slide, anyone who does so well looks to me like god. I think you can start teaching us how you do it! Very professional here. Please come back and post more. Hide

The Bryce is back ! Good to see you back, Bryce ! That was some cool sliding, I have never tried that. BTW, saw your cool stuff from the Anchorage Folk Festival too, seems like you’re a natural on stage !

Hi Bryce You’ve come a ways with that slide. It really sounded very nice you must be well satisfied with your newly gained ability.

Jeez Bryce, it’s been so long since I’ve seen your face on the forum I expected you to be sporting a long beard like ZZ Top. I guess coronavirus is even moving into Alaska by now, so you’re not able to go to work, like most people in America. New Zealand was late getting it, but when it finally arrived we had 3 cases in one day, then a week later the whole country was in total lockdown. The government wisely wants to eradicate it ASAP, and the population here is virtually 100% behind it. I expect to become an advanced level guitarist after maybe 6 weeks of non-stop practice in isolation.

BRYCE!!! First of all, I’m so glad to see you on the Forum, let alone posting your playing for the challenge! After all, it is thanks to you that we have site member challenges here on Active Melody in the first place! If it’s takes a mandatory lockdown to see you back…. lol
I know you’re an accomplished player, seen your previous videos including from the festival. Seeing you play an electric slide is something new but you apparently know what you’re doing with it. You rock it like a pro! And I love that heavy gritty blues sound, it sounds so good. Hope you’ll stick around, seeing you seems like good ol’ times 😉

You should! It is a lot of fun! Damping with your left and hands is the hardest part but well worth the effort!

Love me some good slide playing and that was mighty good! Good tone, accuracy, fluidity. I have played some slide on my songs, but I have to use ample splicing to get a fully good solo! Excellent playing.

Hi Bryce.
Fantastic … I love these slide ones. You make a perfect job here. I’ve try to play some slides and it’s hard to have a clear sound like you (It’s difficult to me to mute the unwanted strings)

Hi Bryce, that was some awesome slide playing. Had a very smooth unforced feel to it and the growl in the tone worked perfectly with your playing.

Still getting even better, Bryce! Great to see you back in action in your old setting. (So nostalgic, dare I say.) You nailed that slide and the guitar tone was awesome. And, it looks like you got a haircut and your beard trimmed for this one. Please keep posting, please. It always inspires me to keep playing and not give up when I see you in action.

Awesome Bryce! great to listen to you again. Love the slide sound. This Covid-19 has got us all in lockdown here in the UK and I have had to close my business for the time being. I hit a wall with my guitar playing and kind of lost my Mojo after Lisa’s death in 2017. Having all this spare time has given me a reason to pick up the guitar again after a long break and I hope to participate more myself.
