LR Baggs is leading manufacturer of pickups for acoustic guitars. 1 that I looked at was a small mic that is mounted under the bridge inside of the guitar and another was a mic/pickup combination that had blend controls.
The result of both of these products is a very natural acoustic guitar sound. So many of the acoustic electric guitars employ a piezo pickup that is placed under the bridge but even at best, I’ve always thought that they sounded like plastic.
I’ve pasted a links that are demos of 2 of the pickups and they are demoed with a singer with a dynamic mic and the same take without the dynamic mike. Both of these sell for $200 but if you are wanting a true acoustic guitar tone, either would be a good choiceI think it would be interesting to drop one of these in an archtop guitar
