Whoa, whoa, whoa. You got a new guitar and did not post pics and give us the run down yet?!?! You are having a NGD (New Guitar Day)!
Sounds great! Give us the skinny on what you ended up buying.

I was dreaming about that solid rosewood neck all through your piece. I NEED one! Ahhh, nothing like new guitar day. What pick up were you playing on Richard?

Richard,
Nice sounding guitar. It’s always a good day when you get to play a new guitar. From the pictures you posted the other day, it looks like a beauty!!!

Thank you for the feedback, gentlemen.
I did post the pics Bryce. Its a Fender American Standard Limited run with all rosewood neck and fretboard.
John, was playing on the bridge (lead?) pickup.
Mark, indeed, a great guitar day.
Cheers,
Richard

Next to marrying my wife, the happiest day of my life was when I got my first Fender Strat about 1.5 years ago. My playing immediately improved hugely, and my former $250 ESP has hardly been touched since. Now I play my Strat almost every day, and if I am forced to miss a day, I start to get headache, nausea, blurred vision, and other harmful side effects.

Richard (@rocoto1comcast-net):
Doh! My apologies! I try to keep up with everything on the forum but some days that is just not possible. That is a beautiful guitar. I have never seen an all rosewood neck. Very Cool! Congratulations on your new guitar. See attached.

Bryce, no problem and thank you, clearly you’re busy with many projects and several of those benefit this forum; be assured that we appreciate it.
I could not resist this Strat’s look, feel, and the way it plays.
Sunjamr, I can relate about the Strat thing, indeed.
Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard, congratulations to the proud Strat owner. A lot of fun with it.
The guitar now has to also get a native space in your house.
I think you’re going to the rules.Wilfried
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Hey Richard,
That sounds a great guitar and you’ve definitely got your mojo going with it. You seem very comfortable with playing the bends and phrasing are coming through strongly.
I’ll have to search for your pictures to see the new member; or can you repost them?………………….cheers Bri -

Nice Phil. Both are my favorite colors for Stratocasters. I noticed that your pickup switch position is different for each guitar. Couldn’t help but mention that and ask myself why. 🙂
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete
