It’s a lazy Sunday afternoon in Wayne, PA. I just learned this solo. Needless to say but Clapton is such an inspiration. His unplugged album is one of my all time favorites

Sounding good Andre! That’s the perfect tone for this song. Plugged or unplugged, Clapton is the man.

Really enjoyed that, bang on the money.
I was at Claptons unplugged tour here in Glasgow way back in the 90’s, was such a treat to watch him and Andy Fairweather Low knock those songs out one after the other....Billy..

Andre, Thank you for posting this. You definitely captured Clapton’s spirit. I am a huge EC fan, and you made my day. On a different note, I visit your area quite often as one of my family members is there now. I usually get off at Paoli rather than Wayne, but that’s a lovely SEPTA train to get there. I love that Mexican place at the corner of the Paoli station parking lot, as well as the seafood restaurant and the Dunkin doughnut on Lancaster Avenue. You live in a beautiful area. I love my visits there because it’s almost always sunnier and warmer there than in Chicago. Go Villanova!

Hide: I am also very close to Paoli. And I haven’t tried the seafood restaurant yet that you mentioned. Next time you’re in the area ping me and we will hang out and play some songs together. I am a huugggeeee Bob Dylan fan!!!

Real good playing Andre. Beautiful timing and dynamics. Is that a D-28 ?

Richard T: it’s the Martin DRSG Road Series guitar. Bought it last year. I absolutely love the sound that the dreadnought body produces. Having said that I did develop some shoulder issues due to the large body. I solved this by sitting more in a classical position.

Nice playing and yes nice Martin, would like to try them,, got me a D 35 but like you said we got to sit up in a high chair and play classical seated guitar on left leg.. I do switch to same classical position too.. I like to check out them smaller Martins like Brian has or even them B&G guitars Brian’s been showplaying,,they do sound cool.. but it really is hard to beat a Martin D28 and these bigger dreadnoughts tones and everything

Hey Andre, that’s some seriously good improv. I’m guessing that if you look on Youtube, you can find a Layla jamtrack that has no singing, and you can just download it, and jam along with it ad infinitum. If you don’t know how to download stuff off Youtube, just ask here on the forum. After all, we ARE the geriatric hackers.

Great playing on acoustic, Andre! You have to ask Martin to make the cutaway to your guitar:)

Nice playing, I enjoyed the flowing descwnding line in there, those are some tasty notes.

That matched perfectly. Great play. You were fully integrated in the track; like in one piece.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.
