Thanks Bryce. I believe my recording in the first 24 hours says a lot about this site and the way Brian has put the material together. On another site, I’ve been working their ‘Little Wing’ for many months and I’m nowhere near to recording it. I like the way Brian takes a concept/style/sound and simplifies it a little, keeps it short, but effective. I got more out of this hendrix lesson in 24 hours than many days/weeks on others. And musically, he keeps it sounding good and interesting. The chord progression is this lesson is simpler than Little Wing and IMO better sounding.
Best,
WarrenB

Very nicely done, Warren, I really enjoyed that.Judging by the material you’re working on, you must be a Jimi fan, just like me.

Thanks charjo. I’m new to Hendrix music, but once I got on to the style of playing, it made total sense, and I like to use it often. I suspect I’ll be listening to more Hendrix music in the near future.

Very nice!!
I think I’m going to indulge myself in that course as soon as I feel that pattern 1-5 from the blues lead course has stuck properly!- "Pretty Fingers Parker"

That sounds awesome Warren. I love the heavy reverb in your tone – gives it that nice spacey sound. Impressive considering you just joined yesterday!

Thanks Brian, it’s a great lesson, you’ve already had an impact on my playing. The reverb was from Cubase Roomworks with the preset ‘unreal room’ (i.e. all software). I’m a reverb addict 🙂 I love that haunting (or as you wrote ‘spacey) feeling/sound that worked well with this chord progession.

@WorrenB
Super! As old memories to come. Great. I’ve heard it really liked it much and enjoyed. In addition, you have imported a corresponding feeling in the track.Wilfried
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Warren: that is a great recording ! I did not know the song at all, but grabbed my acoustic and hit the C scales, without even thinking, and I could not have done that without the blues course and Brian’s great lessons and friends here. I gonna grab that for a practice track, thank you for joining and your post!

Warren!
That was very well done! I’m moving ahead in my playing as well. The first thing I used to think about was what chords and pentatonic scale is he using. Now I think, What setting is his overdrive on? And Is that reverb in the background? LOL! The questions will never end! Great job!Play the Guitar... Just play it!!!
