For this call & response challenge I’ve put together elements of two lessons, EP127 and EP368. True to Brian’s challenge, there’s no backing track, it’s just me.
To get the best of the riffs and bends I’ve dug out out my G&L Tele ASAT. I played this one straight out of the Boss Katana, no pedals connected.

Looking forward to a weekend of great music from Glastonbury and ActiveMelody

First time I see you playing an electric guitar, Richard 😯! Glad you dug it out: what a fantastic rendition! Really, that Asat Tele seems born to play this style under you fingers, and of course for someone who’s trained to play an acoustic guitar with hard tension strings, pull out those wonderful fast bends and slides on an electric is like a breeze! Great choice of the lesson, lovely rendition, great tone from your guitar: I could listen to this for hours!

Sounding great, Richard. We haven’t seen the Tele in a long time. Your finger style blues picking is just as good on the electric as it is on the acoustic.

Great performance very groovy and with smooth touch.
I think you have a great sound as well.

Hi Richard, wow! I didn’t know you had an electric… either I’ve not been paying attention or it’s been a long time. At any rate, it was the perfect choice for this composition. Great tone and a fun bluesy romp. Loved it!

Richard, you never cease to amaze me. I can’t remember you ever playing an electric before. I thought you were just an excellent finger picker on acoustic! This simply blew me away. Everything was to-die-for…playing, tone, rhythm, timing, all of it!

Glad you dug out your electric, Richard. That was pleasure to watch and hear you play it. But the same relaxed and skillful way to play the guitar than on your acoustic. It‘s the player, not the guitar, that matters. But your guitar is not bad either!

You gave new life that old shuffle. Really sweet, and the finger-picking style was perfect. This was pretty much a master class as far as I’m concerned.

I don’t think many Americans have heard of Glastonbury. It’s one of my favorite rock festivals. Some of the best bands in the world have played there. The cool thing is that BBC Music shoots music videos of almost every act, and you can watch them for free on Youtube.
