Hi all.
A bit late but on time. After sooo many attempts (counted today 19 failed recordings) this is where I’ve got tired of repeat… sorry for the inaccuracies.
The first loop, more or less, respecting melody and harmony… 2nd loop, changing bass, chords.. etc. a little weird but I think it makes the goal.Rgds from Barcelona

There you are, David, I knew you’d make it just in time!
Very nice arrangement and very well played in a precise piano-like fashion. The use of all your fingers of the right hand was impressive. You brought out the melody beautifully and it was definitely worth the 19 takes. I’m pretty sure I recorded more than 19 takes but I get totally distracted by my inaccuracies and it’s hard for me to keep going. You persevered like a professional player. Also, good to see you with an acoustic guitar, I don’t recall seeing you play this parlor before.🎸JoLa

Wonderful fingerstyle arrangement, That really ebbed and flowed throughout, 19 takes I feel your pain it always takes me ages but we all get there in the end , lush full tones from your parlour. Nice work well played .

Only 19 takes? I know just how frustrating it can be believe me but it’s all good practice and you played that beautifully. Me gusta mucho!

We are always most critical of our own playing. I thought you did great! Very nice listening indeed…. reflective and moving.

This is a great take and I really like it. Parts of it you played with the greatest possible amount of sensitivity. I am not surprised you had 19 takes, you are pushing this up into fantastic playing.
Congratulations.

That was really nice – beautiful relaxing sound! I liked the interesting things you had going on the second time around, very creative.
I can relate all too well about the 19 takes LOL, ’tis the curse of the perfectionist 🙂

Beautiful arrangement David, I love that you played this fingerstyle, and especially love that walking bass line. Very professional. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent arrangement, David, pretty much flawless. Great chord voicings, great recording quality. I wonder if it would be possible to play a flamenco version? Mmmmmm, maybe not.

That was so beautiful and the use of chords used made it so. Lovely arrangement. High quality playing regardless of the takes.

David, why so self-critical? Your version was beautiful. To be honest, I already missed you; I see you’re fine, old buddy.
I listened to your version twice and imagined we were sitting around the campfire and you played this song at the end. For me, pretty moving. Thanks for sharing and stay healthy !!!Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

That was a beautiful arrangement David. Loved the movement in the bassline and chord voicings against the melody line. Very cool and melodic.

Great arrangement David. Love your walking bass line and little nuances in the melody. I know all to well how the acoustic can be so unforgiving. But your beautiful tone outshines any minor flaws.

I really love hearing the melody come through the arpeggios, plus some minor variations. Really tasteful.

Sounded lovely, great tone. Was that a shimmer reverb you were using? I really liked it as the tone was not as high or bell like.
I also really liked the re-harmonizing with the chording that you did in the second verse. Made it much more interesting.
I appreciate that you challenged yourself to create such a great piece and it was difficult to play. I’m constantly reminded in these lessons that failure is not the opposite of success, it is part of it! Well done!!

David, your practice paid off. There is a lot going on with your arrangement which is why it probably took you so long. You sounded really good. Pap
