Great playing! I especially like your attack, you get a nice snap off the strings that I like.
What’s the number of that lesson? If you put it in the tags below, like EPXXX, other people looking for it can find it.

EP103 with embellishments! This is well played Bill. I love your attack and the way the extra phrases make it your own.
I think the recording needs more bass, it sounds a bit thin to me but the playing was excellent.

Bill, that was great. Good attack and the sound when bending did not die off. Very well done. Thumbs Up Bill.

Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Bill,
That was really good. Your timing was on and the bends were great.
If I may suggest putting on a guitar strap on as you were having to adjust the guitar since it was slipping. (I need to do the same thing as my guitar has a tendency to slip also).
Great!

Awesome, Bill! Another Active Melody “A” player has come out of hiding, it appears.
This inspires me to keep practicing.

Very good playing Bill. As Larry said, another AM “A” player emerges. Very nicely done.

I have been amazed at all the positive feedback and encouragement I have received from this AM community. I am new to this forum and wish I had engaged here sooner. I am also not very technically competent, and I have to really thank Bryce for his patience in teaching me how to upload a video from my iPad. And since I am recording this on my iPad, with my guitar plugged into the Roland e-Band and Brian’s backing track playing through my Mac’s speaker, the sound quality is clearly not up to the recording standards I have seen and heard from other AM members. I have read a few posts from some forum members on recording techniques- Yikes, you guys are light years beyond me! But I am going to start learning and slowly start applying what I am picking up here from you guys. Many thanks!!

Very cool, Bill. I’d say your improv skill is way above average, and that’s partly because of your impeccable timing. You’ve got the structure of the song in your head, and you just fill it in with whatever comes out. That’s true improv. Don’t stress about your computer/recording technical ability. Just start to improve on it one step at a time. You could start by feeding your computer audio into a good set of studio monitors, since you’ll eventually buy some anyway. If you are shooting the video with your iPad (as I sometimes do), you need to figure out a way to feed good quality audio for both guitar and jamtrack into your iPad. When you’re ready to try that, just throw the question out to the forum, and you’ll get lots of ideas.

This is awesome Bill – you improvised very well over this. I’d love to share this on Facebook over the weekend if you’re cool with it

Brian, I certainly have no issues with you sharing this since it really is your lessons that are motivating me to focus and work at improving my guitar skills even at my age! I have come across several other on-line guitar instruction websites, but AM was by far the best site I could relate to and easily work with. Obviously, I am a self-taught guitarist/hobbiest, and because of my profession, I never had the time or inclination to really invest in any kind of professional lessons/techniques and music theory. I started watching your on-line free lessons, and your approach to teaching and the genres you covered really resonated with me, so I signed on. I can’t recommend you any more highly and do mention your work to friends. And your support team (Bryce in particular), is top-notch. So keep on going, knowing that there are a lot of guitar enthusiasts out there that really do appreciate what you do and at the same time respect and recognize the time and effort that you put into making AM a welcome part of our lives. Many thanks!

Too funny ! While I am typically banished to the basement, I can at least count on unconditional love from my dog who sleeps at my feet when I play😊

Bill looks like a hit, You will obviously need the Dogs to keep the groupies at bay. Well done.

Ha! Thank you, but I suspect that at my age, my dog probably looks better than any groupies I might attract 🐶
Rock on!!
