Hey can anybody recommend a web site, book, DVD or any other instructional materials that teaches a comprehensive Hendrix style rhythm method? Thanks in advance.

How about our very own Active Melody’s ‘Hendrix Rhythm Guitar Course’

John,
Lots of YouTube teachers have Hendrix rhythm courses for sale but there are lots of free YouTube videos that cover most variations.

Richard speaks the truth. Brian’s Hendrix Rhythm course seems like it does a good job of explaining what Jimmy Hendrix was up to.

Look at Bret Pappa’s (papastache) site. i bought the 4 dvd course several years ago and it covers a lot of hendrixes songs, techniques and licks.
Like a lot of sites now you can no longer buy it in dvd format and have to pay to access the course from the site.
“Texas blues alley” also do some pretty cool Hendrix courses.
The “bold as love” song guide looks good and is on my list of things to doBrian’s coarse is a good place to start

I find enough free still on youtube,, i hope that doesn’t change.. but plenty here at Active Melody and still see Brian doing great for a modest premium annual fee.. others I thought to join want double! .. was thinking to try truefire.. but think it is expensive.. much time is needed and unless you are an advanced player (which i know I’m not yet) I’m taking the slow way, plenty of free sites for terrific lessons too. but this site is inexpensive for what is here plus cool forums!

Yes indeed, thanks fellas. I was looking at Brian’s course here on Active Melody, is there more or just that one composition? Thanks again for all of your ideas and research.

Hey Sunburst, when you say “plenty” can you identify the lessons that contain the Hendrix style here on AM? My search comes up empty or limited.
