EP166 is the basis from which I started. I’m stuck in this exercise and looking for variants.
I played a very slow type of blues in Dm.
As far as possible, I avoided repetition.
Maybe you like something.Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Each time you post I think this is your best post ever, and you’ve done it again. Those bends and tremolos were all spot on, as was the improv. Great recording also.

Agree that this may be the best I’ve heard from you. Some beautiful lines played through some more involved changes than a standard blues. And the sound from your guitar is gorgeous. It’s a heavy Reverb that I would ordinarily think is too much, but you make it beautiful.

Very Robben Ford like. Did you include a diminished scale run? What was the chord progression, Wilfred, it was quite a complicated turnaround.

Wilfried,
That has to be your best ever! Super professional piece of guitar picking right there. You scaled the heights of the fretboard and made it sound easy. That was smmooooooooth and as Martin just said very tasty.

Interested to know what you used to get your tone? Lots of reverb?

Just to add to Jeff’s comments: Silky, Smooth and Elegant hit me right away-It’s a Gentleman’s Blues. Really loved this, the tone is all yours, always very unique. You played this so naturally, notes were dripping from your fingers. Fantastic recording-great mixdown. Loved it, my favorite submission of yours so far. It was a pleasure to hear.
Bravo!Play Loud!

Very elegant, Wilfried. This was just dripping in the blues. I agree, absolutely one of your best yet. I was mesmerized just watching and listening. I couldn’t even figure out how you did this. Like at 1:53 to 1:56, was that two piano notes followed by two guitar notes?? (That backing track was awesome as well.)
So cool, your Excellency!

For me, that was the best challenge response I’ve seen this month so far! That blues lead could easily stand on it’s own. So smooth. Less is definitely more in this case. Very inspirational Wilfried. Bravo

I have installed this as a transition from G7 to D7.
It is always G # and B alternating with D and F on one string.I start on the E string in the fourth fret G # and B on the 7th fret.
Then the A string follows with D and F on the 5th / 8th fret.
D string: again G # and B on the 6th / 9th fret.
The G string is followed by D and F again on the 7th / 10th. fret.
B string: you start on the 9./12. fret.
e string: 10./13. fretPlay guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Very impressive tone, and much of it is coming from your vibrato that you master very well.
Enjoyable to listen to.

Hi.
You didn’t sound repeated. You respect some pauses, unlike some people that fills too much. This make your solo more interesting.
It looks like you put time on this. (Anyway all your previous submissions use to be excellent too)Your sound is really good . Which amp you use? some valve pedal?

Wilfred,
You know that I am a big fan of yours, but this had something extra special. It is hard to find the words to describe how much I like what you did with this piece. It was graceful, bluesy, gentle, technically beautiful and just superb!!
I love it!!
AWESOME, Wilfred.

DavidHi David,
I got the Mesa Boogie Transatlantic TA15 for a trial. I think this amp is really great. The sound is a matter of taste; I’ll want to keep this amp comfortable and give away my Fender Super Champ x2. In this lesson, I added 10% reverb and 10% reverb.

It sounded like I was listening in a smoke filled blues club. That was cool. I especially like the diminished sounding arpeggio run at 2:17. Well done Challenge Champion Wilfried!
