Hello every body,
I’ve chosen for piece out of the ‘Beginners list’, it was much more difficult then I thought.
To be honest 1 month was not enough for me 😉
It is recorded directly on my iPhone with the internal mike, at the local hacker space, they have thick walls so I don’t have to bother my neighbors.
Have a nice day

Luc,
Nicely played. I don’t know this lesson, but the notes sounded right and flowed well. Great BB tone also.

Notes and phrasing sound really good. Your timing is not exactly Brian’s, but it works perfectly well. I’ve played that lesson hundreds of times, and I would be very surprised if my timing matched Brian’s.
Only thing I would watch for is pressing the strings too hard. There are spots where you are going sharp for no obvious reason, so that is my guess.
Well done, would love to hear more

Nice job, Luc. I know that lesson pretty well, and I’d say you had it 95% just like the lesson. You should now try to build some improv with the jamtrack, because I think you are quite capable to do it.

Very well done Luc! The blues came over very well. Keep it up.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Awesome, Luc. Sounded just like BB King from the first two notes! I would say you didn’t waste your time on that lesson.
Excellent!

Very cool Luc! I hear you about not having enough time. I pick the challenges then I get into them and think…ooohhh…this is harder than I thought. The cool thing is you can go back after practicing more and compare to this video. I thought you did well as the BB King lessons are not easy. Keep up the good work Luc!

First of all, I want to thank everyone who replied.
I received many compliments about the tone of my guitar.
I started playing on my DIY Telecaster, but it sounded much better on my St Peters Doodad guitar. (with humbuckers)
As an amplifier I used a small 3-watt solid-state Blackstar Fly and recorded everything with the built-in mike of my iPhone at about 30 cm. (see attached pictures) And it sounded much better then I expected. With such a sound, I can hardly convince my wife that I really want a better amplifier. 😉I also received compliments about my smooth guitar playing.
Actually, this lesson was too difficult for me to master in 4 weeks. I could not get the timing right. That’s why I tried, during the last week, to forget the right timing and make music instead and play how I felt. Those who have done this lesson in the past know what I mean and Duffy P has noticed it very well. He also told me I pressed the strings too hard and that is also true. Unbelievable that you notice that on such a video. I have to work on it.
For the time being I will not take monthly challenges because they are still too difficult for me to master in 4 weeks. I will occasionally send a video with things I have mastered. Thanks again for all the comments.
Luc
