Hi all,
Seeing this month was an open challenge, I took the opportunity to choose and learn a lesson I was less comfortable playing. County is something I have been interested in learning for a while and so I made the most of this months challenge by choosing EP161. I seen Bryce record a great version of this lesson in November’s challenge. I have to say I probably took this lesson for granted as about two days ago my cover of the lesson was very rough and I wasn’t getting that country tone I wanted. A lot of hours and sore fingers later and we have a recording. The lesson is very fast paced and I would definitely say this is the hardest lesson I have played so far on AM. There are a lot of different techniques used in this lesson – some of which I had never encountered before. The bend at the 12th fret was something new and very cool!
I will be interested to hear your feedback as this is my first dip into the country playing side of things. I know it certainly won’t be the last anyway!
All the best,
Jordan
