Awesome John, I’m not that familiar with the lesson but I’m guessing much of the second half was all you. Very tasty!
Good to see you’re feeling better and back to playing.

It’s superb John.
I do not know how you harmonized the notes, it’s really brilliant. You make the guitar sing….

Great to see you playing again, John. I’m always jealous of your perfect sense of timing and seamless transitions, from chords to single note runs. The single coils do give this lesson a little different sound. I like it. Good to have you back.

Fantastic playing! You’re always one I look forward to hearing. Very nice improv. Clearly using the chord tones because everything sounded in context over each chord change.
Might need to give this lesson a go at some point.

Hey John, Didn’t know you were poorly. hope all is better now and you are on the up and up mate.
Superb playing yet again and I still hold you as my benchmark to how I am going to play in 6 months time..I’m sure I said that near 3 years ago..Loved the rendition, loved the Monty python shirt (lumber jack) but no too sure on the whiskers..
Take care buddy...Billy..

Billy, I’m in Canada. We’re all mounties or lumberjacks and the whiskers keep the frostbite off my chin;-)

Very smooth, tasteful, mellow blues at its best.
You’ve inspired me; now I’m definitely gonna get something recorded for January challenge. -

I noticed you not posting as much. You did this one really well. Great control and feel on the double stops. I noticed a signature Mark Knopfler run in your lead. Wonder if you are aware of it? From 140 to 144. Fit really well, too.

Duffy, that lick connects the D shaped C chord to the E shaped C chord with some intervening major scale notes. I think I first lifted part of that from Canada Moose. Dave Gilmour does something similar in the “Mother” solo, also.

As always, another great submission, John… You are an absolute hybrid picking wizard and play with such grace and fluidity. I’m not familiar with this lesson but from what others have suggested, you embellished this with your own stuff. It fit in perfectly, not that I’d expect anything less.

John!!!
I have missed your posts! It is so nice to hear you play and this piece was yet another superb rendition. It’s tight, rocks, creates energy and I could listen to this all day long.
Please keep posting, John, I always enjoy your submissions and I learn a lot from you as well.
AWESOME!

Definitely you have everything under control.
You partly waited very well to stay in the timing. Perfect made John.Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Impeccable, Charjo!! He’s back!!!!!!
(Whew, I was worried there for a while and thought you wouldn’t make the leaderboard. A couple of people, like you and Kubrider, didn’t even appear on my computer until this morning. I wonder what happened).
Topnotch all the way!

You did this lesson some really sweet justice. The licks sound very Mark Knopfleresque, and you delivered that style very naturally. Great glassy tones dripping from that Strat. Your hybrid picking on this was flawless. Sounded great man! So glad you’re well!
Play Loud!

I may have to try this one.

John,
There is nothing like a white Strat with a tortoise shell pick guard and a guitarist that knows how to play it! Glad to see you back in the saddle my friend. Loved what you did on this song.
