A few months ago I bought a TC Squier (Fender SQ Classic TC 50’s blond).
I have exchanged the bridge and the saddle.
Saddle: Graph Tech PT-5000-00 Groove
Bridge: Göldo HW40C
As a result I received a good intonation and sustain.Last weekend I grabbed the TC and wanted to record something for our upcoming challenge. I have some bottlenecks in my schedule, it should not take long. That’s the plan. But then …
We have quite high temperatures here and my hands were slightly damp when playing. It was not possible for me to use the fretboard properly, as it was lacquered and really sticky. Kevin (Tremelow) had already asked me if the fretboard would feel sticky; Now I know what he meant. With dry hands I have no problems, everything is fine. With a bit of wet hands it’s so annoying that the playability has to be called into question. As a result, I changed the guitar.
I think about giving the guitar away. Alternatively, I could swap the fingerboard. That would cost as much as 75% of the guitar.
What are your thoughts on this?Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.
