Hi, I must admit I am struggling, I am teaching myself for the last few years and have made pretty good progress, considering I don’t know anyone that plays the guitar to mentor me. My chords transition is good and I have the pentatonic scale down. I think the best thing to happen to my guitar education is this summer I discovered Active Melody and I am much further a head. But something like youtube I find myself bouncing around the lessons, not really completing any of them. So I have decided to stay on lesson EP281 until I can complete it, but I need to do this while I am still breathing.
Of course I listen to Brian play it flawlessly and then I give it a try, I just can’t get a flow, I play the first part get to the first lick and my finger transition is so slow I have lost the tempo and stop. I just don’t know how to move forward, it’s very frustrating. I’m too stubborn and hooked to quite, I just wish I picked it up 50 years ago, but better late than never. Any help or suggestions are certainly appreciated.Dave
