I never fell for this “Communism” thing spreading through out Asia in the late 60’s, but I still joined the Military. This makes me feel like, I’m important and I’m just going to take care of “me”, but when I think of this, I also think that this is how corporations work. We all may just be slaves to them.
China’s oil bonanza in Iraq
If the Iraq War was fought for oil, then China won. Chinese state-owned companies have poured billions of dollars and hundreds of workers into Iraq, and they now dominate its oil industry. U.S. oil companies, which seek to maximize shareholder profit, weren’t willing to accept the low profit margins offered by Iraq’s Oil Ministry; China, hungry for energy rather than for profit, has had no such qualms. As a result, almost 1.5 million barrels of Iraqi oil flow to China every day — nearly half the country’s production. “We lost out,” former Defense Department official Michael Makovsky told The New York Times. “The Chinese had nothing to do with the war, but from an economic standpoint, they are benefiting from it, and our Fifth Fleet and air forces are helping to assure their supply.”The article is misleading when it says “hundreds”. The Chinese had over 30000 workers in Libya at one time in the oil fields. A bit hard to believe they just have “hundreds”. Well, you know, they can’t make the article too bad, now can they.
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete
