Hi Brian, I was wondering if you might do a lesson along these lines.
I’d love to know how you’d approach the situation where you’re asked if you can play a particular song?
Let’s say you’ve never played that song before but you want to play it in an interesting way, rather than just banging away on the cowboy chords and varying the strumming pattern.
To keep this as simple as possible take the 2 chord song my 11 year old was taught in her first music class the other day … Deep In The Heart Of Texas. D and A.
I found myself a bit stuck I’m embarrassed to admit.
What thought process would you use? What if you had to come up with something quickly ( like right away )?
I can’t be the only one wondering about this. I know there’s cooyright to worry about but there’s plenty of old songs to use surely?
