Have any of you guys ever heard of this kid?

No Steve, but playing at that level I expect we will all get to hear Toby Lee quite soon enough. Certainly a very young talent to watch out for.
Back in the 60’s I owned and played a Gibson 335 with a Bigsby tremolo arm, not dissimilar to that beautiful guitar but I never played it quite so well as he does.

I seen him once before playing with some blues celebrity but can’t remember who. He certainly is an inspiration and like Richard mentioned, we’ll be hearing more from this young man. Thanks for sharing Steve …

Yes, the kid has been around for a couple of years now. He did a few “how to play”type instructonal videos for Epiphone designed to get more youngsters playing.

Kid has got good feel and timing. His musical expressions are of that of one of “art is passion”. There’s a saying ” Talented people need to know what they are doing all the time”, he is very talented.
Playing music on the guitar is like sculpturing your soul with musical notes. 🙂 6stringer pete
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6 stringer Pete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

I have been following him since his first youtube video a couple of years ago.
This was his first video, he did it for BB King when he heard BB was ill. Unfortunately BB died before he posted it. But BB’s family saw it and contacted him and thanked him.

I agree Steve. He reaches 5 frets, cups his pick back and forth and knows where everything is on every fret. He is so in-tune with the melody. He’s not playing the blues, he’s living it. WOW…
Oh to play anywhere close to that would be a dream.. ha ha
