Hi folks, here is my go at EP153 recorded on my Iphone so excuse the poor sound quality. I really enjoy these slow ones at times as you really have to concentrate on string bends and timing to make it sound smooth. A few mistakes in there, but settled for this one, cheers

Phil,
That was great and as Bryce mentioned you’ve got some nice feel coming through. Makes that expensive Gibson look a worthy purchase! I think your bounce back from the accident is remarkable. In a relatively short time it seems you have advanced your skills . Well done. John Strat -

Phil,
I normally look at the postings and watch the videos intently but this time I decided to just turn away from the video and listen to you playing and not be distracted by the visual aspects and your guitar playing sounded really really good! They have a show in the U.S. called ” The Voice ” where the judges turn their chairs away from the singer so they can’t see them so they can just concentrate on the voice and so I did the same with your video. Anyway, once again I really enjoyed it. Beautiful tone from the Gibson especially in the higher registers.

Phil, you got really nice presents!!!!
The slow Blues is characterized by its evocative expression.
And was supported the whole time by you great. It could have run on the Radio.
To me the Sound would be noticed, and then the soulful guitar playing.
It is a matter of taste, clearly, I think it’s really, really great. 🙂
Thanks for the great contribution.greeting
WilfriedPlay guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Just started working on this lesson myself. It is one of my favorites and you nailed it. The initial time through with the walkdown and arpeggiated right hand picking is still a challenge for me.
It’s a beautiful piece and you did it very well. -

Great playing, Phil! I could see this one coming based on your previous performance on the EP142 Challenge, which was of comparable excellence.
That guitar fits you like a glove.

Beautifully played, Phil! You can see the feeling just oozing out of you as the song went on. Playing fast licks is one thing but when you can let it all out and play with feeling… That’s what the blues is all about. Awesome guitar, too!

Wow, I’d have to give you an A+ on that one! I’ve been working on it myself, and I’ve had a hard time getting the bits around the 12th fret to sound the way they should. After hearing you, I’m inspired to knuckle down and try harder, so thanks for the inspiration!
