I’ve been visiting the site for about a month after making the decision to learn blues lead guitar.
I bought my first bass in 1968 when I was 16. I played in cover bands until about 20 years ago when I decided to realize another lifelong dream – become an airplane pilot. Then an airplane owner. Then an airplane builder. Then a hangar owner. But through it all there was always an interest in music. I even picked up a (very) little blues harmonica. I gave my last bass guitar, a 1981 Jazz, to my son some time ago. So I figured it was finally time to scratch the guitar itch. So here I am. I bought an Epiphone Dot 3 weeks ago on Craig’s List. The deal included an old Radio Shack amp and it’s just fine for now. Twisted on a new set of Ernie Ball’s Super Slinkys, bought Brian’s Lead Course, and I’m ready to go.
Gotta go. The final episode of Luck on HBO is on in a few.
