I’m going to be flat out honest and mention the tune I’ve been trying to to get under my fingers is very fast..too fast for me actually… I’m humble to a young Asian girl ( at least of age but certainly at least twice as young Can play it normal speed.. I have been trying on and off for about a week and a half so far..very difficult to get to tempo..so wondering how might now be the best drill to get better at speed picking..in my case this is hybrid picking..tia

Skip breakfast every day. Start jogging every morning, and don’t eat until noon. Drink 2-3 cups of strong coffee per day. Drink no alcohol.

Best advice yet thank you much Steve! I been good but aint jogging yet..too hot..i’m considering a program like walking the park but when the heat wave breaks .. definitely have to eat less bread.. really stopped drinking beer at home and dont care much for wine anymore or mixed drinks..yes great advice.. okay here’s the thing.. I have enough skill to get this” Steve’s boogie ” eventually close to normal speed but it will be a slow time for now..going to take my time with it..I’m actually more curious how someone could create double stops tempos that fast ,,so I’ll just have to practice the Eric Johnson tune till I get it done..
there.. I answer my own question but you certainly helped me answer my own question! lol.. today is a heat warning..i’m drinking juices non alcohol.. no alcohol beverages.. I need to go swimming now sat down long enough practicing and making cool stuff up EP314

Morning John, I think you need to go out this evening and order this:
Playing music on the guitar is like sculpturing your soul with musical notes. 🙂 6stringer pete
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6 stringer Pete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Pete looks yummy.. Actually I enjoy cooking, I made shrimp and linguini with white Chardonnay fresh lemon parsley herbs oregano butter olive oil,,and fresh tossed garden salad yesterday,, today was fresh turkey breast American cheese mayo ice burg lettuce homemade coleslaw potato salad and any garden tossed salad with big slicers .. yeah I’m going to loose weight take Sunjamr’s advice but it’s hard when I like cooking lol..
today I practiced acoustic and had so much fun learning new and old cover tunes (the right way or best way) which brings in the studying part to which Brian is explaining in his lessons how he interprets a bit of guitar theory is working well for me..
I always knew basic music theory is fundamental to getting the most out of anytime spent practicing on the guitar (or any musical instrument)
I’m going to wait till I’m ready for some good takes.. tomorrow I have a bit of projects but it is very hot outside,,today we had a heat advisory here in the news..syppose to be very warm all week too.. that means more guitar practice for sure!
