Been playing guitar for quite awhile. I’ve had a few teachers, most of them were good guitar players, just not teachers. I wish the internet was around when I started playing, but they didn’t have intermittent windshield wipers then either. After a few years getting my feet wet, I started working on Chord Melody and am still working on it. Now that I have some patience even C/M may be possible. And….
I’ve always wanted to learn something about blues. I ran across this Active Melody site on the internet and liked Brian’s style and decided to sign up. Plus, my wife is a fine piano player and when we do Ray Charles, CCR and even Sinatra tunes, I usually slide through with just the 1st two boxes of the minor Pentatonic Blues scale and am hoping that these lessons will expand my contribution. Remember B.B. King once said, it’s not how many notes you play, but what you do with the ones you do play.
Hello Jim, Welcome to AM
Welcome Billy! Glad to have you!
Welcome Jim! That’s a real incentive for development, having someone to play with, you’re lucky. It will really spice thing up when you start punctuating phrases with chords and using double-stops along with your single string accompaniment.
