I’m glad that I could help out LOL
At some point, I would like to come across the right deal on this model of the ASAT. Some mistake the pickups in these to be P90’s but Leo termed them as MFD pickups – Magnetic Field Design – and they are Leo’s vision for what the Tele would have been had he not sold Fender in 1965.
Danish Pete is playing one of those in the video in this ..thresd..

He was really getting some great tones from that ASAT. Nice wounding pickups thru the hands of a good player
He is an amazing player, Sadly though after watching a lot of his videos he isn’t a very good teacher/instructor, but boy he sure does make a guitar sing..

I wish it were mine – I only posted the pictures of it as an example of what G&L’s Custom Shop turns out. I can only imagine what G&L would be doing today if Leo Fender was still with us.
Leo wisely put the daily operation management in the hands of BBE Sound who continues to run the company in a conservative and responsible manner as the feel that Leo would have
Judging from the G&L guitars that I have, I know that the craftsmanship on the Skyhawk would be second to none…..
