hi guys,
inspired by brians latest christmas lesson where he encourages us to do something similar with another christmas tune, here is my quick and short take on frosty the snowman.
i tried other christmas songs but quickly realized they are deceptively difficult due to the many chord changes and melodies. frosty is a simple I IV V so it went well with my current study of major triads. i tried exploring more of the fretboard this time, and landed on this loop playing over 3 positions.

This is wonderful, Nick!🙏🎸
Love the simple arpeggio rhythm.
Your melody improv on different positions on the neck sounded fantastic.
Great double stops.
Great tone.
You have inspired me to try out myself.
Thanks.
DenisePS: how do you get that tone? What Tele do you play? Amp? Pedals?

Thanks Denise!
Tone wise, I’m playing an American Performer Tele, plugged into this amp sim pedal https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tonexone/#nl_form_area, which then goes into a looper and that plugs into my audio interface for recording.

Beautiful, Nick. I love your tone, Hendrix style chord embellishments and your ear for melody.
Nick told me his tone secret and the simplicity will shock you, Denise. I’ll let him fill you in.

Nick,
I love everything about this. You really can hear the Hendrix-style embellishment which is very effective. Just a hint. You leave us wanting more. Very gentle and dulcet. You are making me crave a rosewood Tele. Great stuff, thanks for sharing.John

Thanks for sharing beautifully played.
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Wonderful as always Nick👏👏👏. I bought a looper but returned it since too much noise, and a new one is coming this weekend. Can’t wait to play 😅
