I’ve been practicing 30 to 60 minutes for the past three years but feel like I’m just stuck. I’ve taken the blues course, which was a great help, and I practice songs repeatedly to try and gain speed and with less mistakes. But, I’m still sloppy with some songs even after I’ve practiced them dozens of times. My speed seems stuck in 3rd gear. One thing too, I have to stay away from most barr chords because of a rotator cuff issues. Here’s where I’m at: I can play Hotel California’solo, but it’s slow. I’m pushing myself to learn harder material, but it’s just not happening. I think maybe I’m just going to be that guitar player that’s almost to intermediate stage, but that’s it. I’ll never be in a band unless it’s a three chord song. Anyone else ever feel stuck and maybe that your guitar skills have peaked?
That’s me for sure.
Frustrated.
