This lesson/challenge proved to be a turning point for me in that the ‘bulb’in my head went off in regards to linking positions and getting major/minor sounds out of the same notes up and down the neck. I probably did stray a bit outside of the 6 note boundary but I was having fun. Disclaimer, I’m not learning’ if I ain’t stealin.’ Two of the licks that I use in this arrangement are lifted from Adrian Woodward and of course Brian. The good news is some of these parts are original to me and this is the first time that for a challenge I just turned the camera on and played. I’m getting my Strat tone to where I want it. I am using my American Standard, Tweed Fender Pro Junior, with some Ibanez Tube Screamer overdrive and a Holy Grail reverb pedal. Please excuse my dog Lola for grooming herself in the background.
