I love phrasing and tried to find my own voice rather than sound like BB. Backing track is a little loud. I left all the clams and noodles in. I borrowed a couple extra notes after the first time through. And I liked the sound of it in the key of A. Thanks for listening.

Great jam Richard! That was awesome, great bends. Really bluesy, played with lots of soul.

I see it as Rob; there is a great blues character in your style of play.
Great made Richard!Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Excellent, Richard! I agree, you’ve sure got the blues–got better and better the longer you played. Pretty amazing how you stayed in that one small box the whole time. Primo video.

Hey Richard,
Nicely done, I like how you built excitement into the solo as you went. I hope you don’t mind me saying, that’s a great look. I love the black hat with the black musical tee and the black strat; very together.

That sounds great to me, expressive and flowing, and I liked the balance of guitar to backing track (volume).

You play with authority and lots of character. Your improv has definitely absorbed the main idea of the lesson and made it your own.
It sounds like you play with a lot of finger pressure. I think you might be pushing some notes sharp. And over bending sometimes.

Just a question for you. I got lost after the first time through, and became disconnected with the backing track. From that point on I was winging it. I had one overbend that was a half step sharp, a little like EP 116, the Buddy Guy lesson I did recently. Were there more?
I’m not a musician, just a ham fisted guitar player. My ear isn’t as good as yours. -

Good stuff, Richard. I think your improv licks fitted the style of the lesson just fine, and the jamtrack didn’t sound too loud on my Bose speakers. You’ve got that vibrato down pat.

Hi Richard….I like your self titled description of “ham-fisted guitarist”…..I bet many on this board, including myself, consider ourselves to be ham fisted musicians….it’s all relative…It looked and sounded to me like you were really enjoying yourself…and certainly there was no mistaking the fact that you were playing the blues with a fair amount of authenticity. Isn’t that what it’s all about at AM…?? Great submission! Keep em coming.
