I see what you are saying Billy, and to answer your question, it is working as designed. The reason it doing that is because it also is designed for mobile users and that is just how it works.
Don't practice till you get it right, practice till you can't get it wrong.

All the forums over the years I have used on my mobile/cell phone this here forum is the only one that does the expanding header thing, then again now that i think of it all those other forums had two designs, one for pc and one for mobile/cell phones..
Thanks Blu

Sorry to be a pain but I don’t see this happening on any other website I use when on my PC, I dont understand why a header should obscure some of the page we are trying to read..Surely the page content is more important than the header?.

Billy, I wouldn’t think of making light of your difficulty with the header but it’s a feature. And at no extra charge. It doesn’t cover the page when you’re at the top. It reveals it as you scroll down. Better?

open up your browser window and try scrolling down – it should collapse

I’ve seen that trick done before. When you’re at the top of the page, the Active melody font is larger and the header takes up more room. Then when you start scrolling down, the header font and header size gets smaller and stays smaller until you get back up to the top of the page. That gives you more screen real estate while you’re actively looking through the forum topics. I’d much rather have that than the ActiveMelody logo constantly scrolling sideways across the header. And at least we don’t have ads along the side saying “Meet Asian women” or “Thai women make best brides”.

Billy, your header is twice the size mine is. Active melody logo and menu should be both centered int the header, your logo keeps to the top which bumps the menu down and the header is needlessly big.
Looks like some styles are not loaded properly. Try hiting “ctrl + shift + r”, which will reload the page, getting everything fresh from the website.
Hope it helps

Thanks for that Vojtech, seems to have made matters worse and the header is now huge as you can see in this picture( no it is not a scroll just the page refresh)
