https://youtu.be/p_iF5foUcYA. First posting having enjoyed these lessons for last year or so . Chose not to slavishly follow note for note .
What a fantastic wealth of lessons to delve into , and all for £50 per year .
Thanks -

Welcome, Michael..great first AM post!
Very fluent and smooth playing with fingerstyle.

Thanks for your kind words , prefer just finger nails to a plectrum .
Pretty clueless re the technology for all this so just used my iPhone and noticed someone suggested via utube as video direct was too large !
Denise – it’s a very lovely Gibson L5 , the one pickup version , Wes Montgomery one , through a Fender Tweed Princeton Reverb, all very jazzy …. -

Micheal,
Nicely played with your interesting finger style. Do I presume you are a fellow countryman mentioning pounds. As you say a whole heap of choice stuff makes for unsurpassed value for us all. I can see you are going to make great use of it.

Hi John , indeed on this side of the pond …… West Sussex , you ? Don’t think there are many from these parts on AM .
Lots of very supportive comments which is great , many commenting on my unique/interesting finger style . It’s just something I don’t give a second thought to , that has developed over time but does rely on decent slightly pointed nails on right hand . Can be a disaster if I break one , but like many guitarists who use finger nails I have a sneaky supply of glue on nails , filed and ready to fit ! I just like the close relationship with fingers/nails directly on the strings .-

Well played, Michael. I also was interested in your unusual method of picking. I’ve never seen that done before, but it seems to work well. At least you don’t ever have to worry about forgetting to bring your pick to a jam session.

Hi Michael, you have a lovely gentle touch on that guitar and I really enjoyed listening to this.
One thing unusual I noticed about your playing is you seen to always ‘pluck down’ never up. First time I have ever seen anybody play finger style like that.

Hi Geoff ,
Thanks for taking the trouble to listen to my first offering . It’s proved to be quite thought provoking this end , as I’ve never really given a second thought to my evolved style of playing. Any yes now you mention it it’s
nearly all downstrokes. I suppose that potentially limits some opportunities . Also didn’t realise how serious I look when concentrating !
Anyway I’ve always placed greatest value on sound made irrespective of technique …..
at least when playing classical my technique is a little more textbook .
Thanks again , it’s been really interesting to actually think about how I play .
