ParticipantIt’s a very popular lesson in the community indeed and there are already many excellent and even very recent renditions by other members.
Here’s is mine. It’s rather imperfect, but I follow the the spirit of the community and Brian’s advices: don’t aim to perfection immediately and try to improve a little bit every time. And also I want to practice and play some other lessons 😉Guido - Italy

ParticipantVery smooth, the sound is rich and sounds great on my end.
Your finger work is very impressive and even my wife commented on how relaxing your sound is.
Nice job man.

ParticipantWell done, Guido. I often learn a lesson not to 100% perfection, but then I try to keep playing it once or twice a week and it becomes more and more perfect with time. Just like a fine wine.

ParticipantThanks Steve. For sure I will follow your same way and practice again from time to time this lesson like all the other ones that I’ve already studied.

ParticipantYes, Guido, this is very popular lesson among AM, but it’s ain’t easiest one. I tried and tried and put it on the “stop” indefinitely. You did it almost perfect and maybe it’s time to dig it out for me again. Thanks for reminding me this lesson and have a nice fall.

ParticipantYou really capture the James Taylor feel in your performance Guido. Your mastery of the finger picking style technique really lends itself to you playing this style really well. Really enjoyed it! All the best!

ParticipantHi Guido,
a perfect rendition. I really struggle still with this kind of fingerstyle playing, especially to keep the rhythm… You played it almost like Brian…-

ParticipantThanks Jay! I suggest you to practice with a metronome, at the beginning slow and then gradually faster. In fact I also have trouble to keep the rhythm, and in this piece I helped myself tapping my foot.

Thanks Richard! Well, I remember your acoustic blues renditions and you always did a great job, so I’m sure you can play very well this style too. Anyway this is in fact the style (along with strumming) I’m more familiar with.

ParticipantHi Guido, Excellent playing on EP372. I’ve been practicing fingerstyle acoustic almost everyday for three years, but I haven’t reached your level of expertise yet. How long have you been playing fingerstyle? (please don’t say a couple of months). I’m a Martin Guitar guy, but I also love Gibson Doves. One of the easiest playing acoustics I ever played.

ParticipantThank you Ralph! Well, honestly I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for 40 years, and about 20 years ago I began to study fingerpicking more seriously in my spare time (before I just strummed or played very basic fingerpicking patterns).I’ve also to say that, especially in the past, I couldn’t spend very much time to play. Anyway don’t take me as a parameter and don’t discourage, I’m a very slow learner! Some people they’re better than me just studying guitar a few years!
