Strolling along in a park on a sunny day is what I thought of while listening to your playing. Very enjoyable to listen to David. 😁

Fantastic first post David. Played with great feel and accuracy. Spot-on bends, slides, the works. Nice acoustic guitar too. All the best!

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I’ve always preferred the acoustic guitar for some reason over the electric,
don’t know why. I saw under your profile one of your influences was Tommy Emmanuel. Every time I see or hear him I walk away shaking my head thinking “how does he do that”?

Nicely done brother David Todd. I wouldn’t mind hearing that on a Martin D-18 or something of that caliber.

Very clean and bright, strong technique and great fretting on that acoustic.
Your shape transitions are nice and smooth and you have great timing.
I could listen to a whole album of your playing.Jon D

That was great! This lesson is one of my favorites, and it is indeed perfect for a sunny day in a park – I played it on the street and people passing by loved it 🙂

Congratulations David on your first posting, I could see you were concentrating and to good effect, that was a thoroughly enjoyable rendition and played at a pacey tempo.

Well, it’s the lesson I’ve been struggling with for 1 month, and you played it really very well, and more than this you didn’t only reproduce Brian’s original, but you’ve added some small but very tasty variations to it, like a true musician.

You must love the old ragtime blues as I do. So much melody, funk, rhythm and blues. Those small variations were probably lucky mistakes I can live with…Thanks

First post but not the first time you hold a guitar; the bend, the rhythm, the finger picking, all is perfect.

Nah, not much music in those genes… Our pops had a passion for good music, Benny Goodman big band stuff. He actually caught me listening to the Grateful Dead back in the day and he said he thought it was pretty good. Ha ha… too funny. Hook line an sinker! Toddy and I like to play picking tunes (him playing the banjo) and me on the Martin acoustic. We jam at cook ahts n@t and people enjoy it… rock on bro…

Fantastic playing, David! I have enjoyed hearing you play in the past, including banjo on some of John’s posts. Maybe we can all jam one day… I know I could sure learn somethings from you guys!
