Julie,
Great tone from your guitar and I really enjoyed your playing. I think Athena and Whisky thought it was perfect music to take a nap…….they are as cute as they can be.
All the best.

Very nice, Julie. I like your Taylor parlour, it sounds beautiful. What model is that? I have a mahogany body 522ce, slightly different than yours. Are you playing through the acoustic amp? What electric guitar(s) do you own?

Hello John,
thank you for the kind comments. This is a Taylor 322-12 with blackwood b/s and mahogany top. I have it plugged in to focusrite as dogs tend to bark at random!
As for electric, it is a PRS se 245. NOthing special but the amp makes it sound amazing.

Hey Julie that was impressive playing. You play with a touch that omits a lot of unwanted strung noise. Well done and congrats on your first post…looking forward to more.

Nice playing, Julie and as been said, great recording Quality. I love the 12-fret Mahogany Taylor, one of the best guitars I played so far. Looking forward to your next posts.

Sounded great, Julie! Loved the dogs… my dog always leaves the room when I play guitar. Looks like your dogs are a fan of your playing, and so am I… that was real nice.

Very nice Julie and welcome to Active Melody.. you are doing my July entry lol.. I uploaded an early take a few days ago to youtube .. but might want to still improvisation/extend upon the lesson.
I remember Brian pointing out in his intro video instructional to let the D string ring while doing the descending.. yes I enjoy this one but so many I want to get back to practicing.. so many recents too
You seem to be advancing very nicely I can tell!

Thank you Sunburst!
I often mute that D string and need to focus on the small details on it. I finally have it by heart and will work on it. Thank you for the observation.Brian’s site is wonderful.

Really nicely done, great phrasing
To carry a solo tune us hard to do it and record it is even harder a challenge well met

Julie that was really lovely. You have a great feel for the melody. The tone of your guitar was super. I have just bought a Taylor GS mini parlour guitar and I can’t put it down. Well done.

Thank you! Taylor makes great guitars and mini is a sweet and small instrument to play with! good choice!

Nicely played Julie and of course congratulations on your first, successful post.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Nice one, Julie. You made that look really easy, but we all know it’s not easy to be that controlled and precise with your fingering. BTW, am I the only one to notice a kind of Beatles flavor to that?

Great rendition Julie, I love this lesson and you injected lots of soul into it with your playing. I found it deceptively tricky to get the fingering without bumping into the other strings but you did that great. Well done!

Nice one, Julie. Your title suggests that this is an original composition, not an EP lesson, so even more impressive on your first posting. Looking forward to your post next month.
