Sounds very good Larry. An upgrade I would say. I also liked that little jazzy lesson you were playing. What kind of strat do you have there?

Thanks, Richard. That’s an American Deluxe HSS Stratocaster. Bought it new in 2014 when I retired, took up the guitar again, and joined Active Melody.

Hey Larry, nice job on that. It’s a tough one to pull off at full tempo, but you did quite well with only a few snags…nice sound on the strat..

You picked a challenging lesson to tackle. But your well on your way to mastering it. I was looking at those iRig mics just the other day. You got a good sound there.

Hahaha..”phoneonanimal” is going to be my word of the day hahaha
Great video and sound quality there Larry, looks like the piece is a bit of a finger twisted, though you seemed to handle it very well..

Nicely done, Larry! I’d say your new rig works out perfectly. Video looks awesome and the sound is loud, clear, and crisp.

Thanks for sharing, I loved it! You have an amazing sound out of that strat. So you are using a microphone in front of the amplifier? And did you use a guitar interface to your PC or is it connected with a other device?

Nothing fancy for recording. The iRig mic is connected directly to the iPhone. The iRig mic is placed about a foot or less from the Blackstar Fly mini amplifier which you can barely see on the desk behind me. Then after recording on the iPhone, I just download the video file to my iMac, and from there to YouTube. I like the Blackstar mini amp. It only costs $100. It is very small and great for both practicing and recording.
