Dear Community,
I have started practicing this very fine tune which if I understand correctly is in E Mixolydian Mode. What I don’t understand is where comes the G chord from in the second part of the song.
E Mixolydian scale shares the notes with A major scale so there is G# and no G.
My next thought was, well maybe it is not in E mixolydian, so I tried to figure out the key of the song according to the chords how they fit into the diatonic theory. So we have G & A major chords (a tone apart) and a B minor the next tone apart. Well this would fit if G is the IV, A the V and Bm the VI chord but then the E should be minor because it would have to be the II chord.
I am confused.Help here would be much appreciated.
Thanks Michal
