Sounding good on that Strat Mike D! You took that lesson and made it your’s with some nice licks thrown in. I’m not too good at recording but put one out once in a while just to keep from forgetting everything. That reminds me….was supposed to practice using the looper today.

Congratulations on your playing and video recording Mike. Nice bends, vibrato and layback bluesy feel. Hey we must be attracted to the same music and lessons. I just finished recording and videoing this one too. It’s definitely a classic lesson and surprised that I hadn’t heard this played very often before (although I’m pretty sure Andre posted it in the Challenge). It’s one of Brian’s soulful melodic blues and one that is great to improvise over. I’ll leave mine for now and post my rendition later next week. All the best!

Hi Garry, if you do a search in the forum for this you’ll find it’s been done many times. I believe in June of 2019 it was the challenge lesson.

Excellent Mike! I agree with Dave K – ALL DAY & ALL NIGHT LONG I could listen to your Blues. Well played. Alvin Lee has nothing on ya my friend. Loved the double stop action at 2:00 as well. Good job on getting some vid going! I look forward to your next project. Bobby Ut

Good jam – keep moving fwd with these and throw in those licks by other players
Alvin Lee & Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown are by far my favorite players from the UK. How these 2 have not gotten more attention for their great playing is mystery to me.
Hard to believe he’s been gone now for 8 years now -

Alvin Lee’s Bluest Blue is one of my all-time favourite minor blues; back in the day when I played live this was always on my set list. With a great singer and bass player, it was a joy to play over this tune. Love the chord progressions, and the vocal lines just invite a soulful solo.
Thanks for reminding me of this great tune. -

One of Alvin’s many great songs – thanks for posting. George Harrison on slide
First song below is one of my favorites – wish he’d done more with Clarence Clemons; 2nd one has Clarence on it as well.
Alvin could definitely rock with the best of them

Well done Mike. This is one of my favorite lessons. You played a very soulful rendition. Alvin Lee and Ten Years After were one of my favorite bands in my teen years.

Great lesson and I see you put some of your own creative licks into this too which is what it’s all about. I did this one way back when but I didn’t try to be creative with it as you have done nicely here.
