Well done John. I could not quite see if you just played with the neck pick up. Or was it the middle position?
WilfriedPlay guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

It´s pretty difficult lesson, but you did it quite well. I enjoyed it really.

Bridge pickup (rhythm) toggled up position..neck pickup treble down middle both pickups.. usually lead solo on treble but a lot of blues/jazz play middle and rhythm too.. I experiment with tone settings too. Lights nothing on Active Melody is too hard to play for anyone who simply puts the time to practice the right way. The best way to learn these is practice site reading tab and stopping at each measure loop it or just scroll back on the sound slice.. I been here on premium almost two and a half seasons and been learning this way. I feel if I can do it anybody can willing to put the time in.. i understand not many have the time with other priorities.. All I am certain of is you can easily get this tight going slow with the soundslice..most is memorizing,,you already have lot of Brian feel from your presence here at AM.. For those reading this who do not use the tab/soundslice.. I personally highly recommend learning to play along with watching/reading the moving tab… years ago we had no such technology! This is excellent feature for any skill level who wants to learn/practice. A most efficient way too for those with less time.

Awesome, Sunburst! You added your own interpretation to this and made it really your own. I practice this lesson all the time and I could detect all your added nuances. Really cool!! And a great sound on that SG.
Really enjoyed. This was oozing in blues.

thank you all and really just a typical day or two..few hours a day playing along with the sound slice and Brian’s videos too which together help me get close enough i guess… I know I too have a ways to go just replaying but the point I wanted to make is Active Melody really works..Brian is as good as any the professionals on the other bunch of sites I follow.. I just enjoy his weekly lessons..short and sweet,, I highly recommend practicing as uch as time allows..today i skipped,,just signed in and want to practice stuff here on this site,,it is short fun and terrific practicing,, even the lessons I rehearsed videoed here..I enjoy second or even many times around with the lessons..Lastly, glad I signed up for the trowback thursday lessons which are random older lessons to review! Really is great this Active Melody..forums are fun too..Enjoy!

Signed up for Throwback Thursdayessons? What is this in reference to? Haven’t heard of this before.
Either way, that was some all-American five alarm bringing it on home to big daddy authentic MOJO coming out of those fingers… Fantastic!
