Well I hoped your wife liked because I sure did, great tempo and tone. Funny my wife walked into the room while I was watching this and said “is that you playing?” My response “Hell no, this guy is really good” but I hope to be improvising like that someday. Great Job!

Wow-the improv was just so smooth and in keeping with the style.
Great rendition John! Can I get tickets to your next gig?

Sweet Picking there Slim. Were you using a blues Driver? Really nicely done, even the family cat was tapping his foot to your playing John!

Were you the one that had the back yard jam video last summer? Something must have happened, perhaps fell and hit your head, then woke up in a different dimension? I don’t know, but your playing has taken a quantum leap forward. Amazing.
Brian’s goal, for his students, is to see them stretch out beyond his lessons, and make your own music. You, and some others at Active Melody, are truly accomplishing that goal, through your hard work and Brian’s great teaching.

John – Well that was worth waiting for! I know you’ve said that working on speed was going to be an emphasis for you this year, and this post was certainly evidence of speed. You kept up the pace for just shy of 3 minutes, which is impressive. Your playing and tone were impeccable as usual. I especially liked your improv, which was not only substantial in length but also tasteful and in context with the “base” song. I know I had to noodle around for quite some time just to come up with about 30 seconds’ worth to add to this song, so I was really impressed with what you came up with. Great post!

Your wife will soon be worrying about the growing number of groupies gathering on your front lawn😎. Your improv lead licks were spot on, smooth as silk and really popped out that backing track. Really enjoyed this!!

I would swear you were in a trance while laying this one down…..either that or thinking about your next guitar….
Quite a performance there, John…..you put some real time into this one. Great on all counts….playing, improvs, video, tone, variety in the mix…..Exemplary performance all the way down the line.
When the video ended some of your other videos appeared. One in particular about root notes and pentatonic patterns.
I was not able to decipher it just now after a most recent cocktail hour…..but I will return to it with a clear head….Congrats on this most recent conquest…..Wonderfully done.

John,
Oh Man was that good! Pure excellence. You keep on delivering and I’m thinking now that this may be one of my favorites that you have posted. I’m going to join in with everyone else and say the improv was dazzling!
I think you’re ready to put out a CD of Slim Pickin’s Greatest Hits and this would be one of them. Oh My!

John, as you had announced, I expected a different speed. Now you have reached her. Your guitar game was immaculate.
By the way, your guitar is beautiful. I do not have Tele.
For how long time, I do not know at this moment.
You have decorated the track with a very nice improvisation. Of course it is always so.
When an improvisation is played, the musical pattern changes sometimes quickly.
It was varied and always interesting.
WilfriedPlay guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Your concentrated om speed is paying off. It looked like that posed no difficulties for you. Loved the clean country tone. It’s great to see you taking more adventurous solos. I especially liked the first half of the second solo, and the sixth walkup on the B chord. Very tasty. Your playing keeps getting better and better. Oh, and nice wall behind you.
