Found a good book that helped me, maybe it will help someone else. It is “Guitar Chord Bible” written by Phil Capone
I am a big visual person, I can read well and comprehend well but pictures are really big for me. This book is almost all photos of chords. It is not a guitar course or instruction on how to play like what we have here. I wouldn’t do that try to hijack clients like that. It is a picture book of chords and where your fingers go. Has a ton of info, major, minor, 7ths, sus, ect ect. I started learning about the “CAGED” system years ago and playing over chords and chord tones, this picture book directly relates to that. It shows the 1-5 positions up the neck of each chord. It appears to be organized well , meaning, when you open up to Dm that chord and its 1-5 positions are on the 2 pages you are open to keeping the confusion out of the picture. It is hard cover with ring binder so it lays nice and flat when open. Seems like a good durable book full of helpful chord info. I have taken masking tape and marked some of the more common areas I use. It may or may not be of interest to anyone but when Brian talks of the CAGED system or playing over chords I sometimes open this book to one of the chords he is discussing and there are the pictures and diagrams right there and it is always one of those ah-ha now I can see it , Ok back to the lesson. Anyway I don’t sell books , I don’t get kickbacks for this or anything else just thought I would take some of my time to help out .Montana, USA
