Playing a lefty all my life limits my options on guitars. The ES-175 Brian plays is a vintage Gibson and this would be way out of my price range even if I could find a lefty. But I do have a very good clone – it is an Eastman AR372CE. It was great right out of the box and mine was about $1k! You can see one guitarsnjazz.com although they are available other places as well. I got my lefty at Jerrysleftyguitars.com about a year ago and it really does capture that original sound quite nicely, especially with 12 gauge jazz strings. This after all was what a lot of early rockers played through rudimentary amps and still got that great vintage sound that people like me are constantly chasing. It’s a lot more fun to play these lessons when my guitar finally sounds just like Brian’s.
