As Bri (Bri-UKlefty) let us know when he submitted his November Challenge, he’s once again battling Mr. C. This is a sometimes painful, sometimes arduous process that includes hospital stays to have procedures done.
He’s been in the hospital for about a week now, dealing with some complications. They’ve cleared up enough that he’s having stents put in tomorrow, then he’ll be in for a few more days to recuperate. He’d love to hear from people through his Active Melody private messages or right here.
When I get a mailing address for Bri, I’ll post it here. Hey Bri, if you see this, would you answer with your mailing address if you’re feeling like it? Otherwise, I’ll be happy to post it when I get it. Thanks!
Stay strong and take care of yourself, Bri, we’re thinking about you, sending our best!

Stay strong and positive! You got this!

I got a brief note from Bri today. He said the stints in his liver have settled his liver function. So hopefully this was only a minor hiccup in his treatment plan.
I know he appreciates the support so keep voicing your support AM community!

Hey Bri, hope you’re feeling better every day. Hang in there, you will make it!
Here’s a great concert by Johnny Copeland…
…and a compilation.
“Tin Pan Alley” with Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Finally, this one is kind of odd. It looks like he’s playing in E but it sounds more like F. I’m in search of a reason. My guess is that it’s sped up, but the whole thing is, if any part is.
Don’t need to tell you there are more where these came from. Thinking this is a taste of one of the next Blues Roots, not this week’s though, that’s going to be the guitarists in the Muddy Waters band, part 1.
Take care!

Got more good news and a contact address for Bri, if anyone wants to send him a card or anything. Please contact me (Bryce also has it if for some reason I don’t get back to you quick enough, but please try me first, let’s give Bryce a break).
Please send me a PM. You can do that by clicking on my name anywhere, then clicking on “Private Message” when it takes you to my page. Thank you!
Bri is just waiting for three positive test results showing an improving trend and he can go home. I think that may be as soon as tomorrow.

Hey thanks everyone, and what an overwhelming welcome, your goodwill made me have a happy cry and it’s best therapy!
The messages really send special message from people internationally that although we have never actually met and that’s hopefully a sign that music brings inclusion, unity and the humanity that I think we have all experienced. There’s hope for the rest of the world yet my friends!
I’m back home now and wow ‘home really is where the heart is’; so now to rest and get clear from jaundice and let us get back to the chemo script.
I had an hour yesterday on Martin just picking up on the music that was already on music stand; Lovely Lisa, recent Delta Blues lesson and ‘Walkin the Dog – Rolling Stones which has some great runs in ADE as 12 bar in chorus. Nice to take step back and rework with no time pressure.Best wishes to you and your families for holidays and hope we all enjoy a healthy happy New Year….Cheers Bri xxx

Hello, Bri!
Oh yeah! It’s great to have you back among us—it’s so nice to see your name in the replies!
I really appreciate your message of unity. Pretty certain if the people of the world had our way, we’d have a lot fewer problems.
You take care and do whatever it takes!

Nice words indeed Bri, Good to have you back on the forum but don’t you be going and doing un-necessary stuff like dishes and hoovering, you put your feet up and gather your strength..Scottish Tradition( and Scottish bad luck) excludes me from wishing people a happy new year before the event, but I am allowed to write or utter the words “All the best to you and yours when it comes” …
