In the key of E, this song uses the root on the open 6th string (first position) with the A and B chords with roots on the open 5th string and second fret of the 5th string; and the root of the E on the 9th fret of the 5th string with the A and B chords having their roots on the 7th and 9th frets of the 4th string.
Whenever I work on Bo Diddley’s rhythms, everything else I play sounds better too.
