Loads of backing tracks out there on YouTube, We also have some great backing tracks from Brian’s lessons.

I mostly just use Brian’s backing tracks, which cover all kinds of blues styles. But I have a few downloaded from Youtube for specific songs, like:
The Thrill is Gone
I Shot the Sheriff
Samba Pa Ti
Just search in Youtube for the song of your choice and add “backing track” to the song name. Like, “Samba Pa Ti backing track”. Yesterday I posted a note on how to download videos from Youtube and extract the audio using Audacity.

I’ll just add that Spotify also have a good selection indexed by the mj/relative minor and they automatically loop.
I also find it good ear training to match the high e string note with the track to find the appropriate scale key

Brian’s latest lesson EP303 has a brilliant 12 bar blues in E backing track.

Any chance we can get the TAB for the E backing track on EP303? My jam buddy and I would like to learn 303 together and trade back and forth between lead and backing.

I agree the EP303 backing track is great. Brian has a few fill licks on that backing track in addition to the simple shuffle….anybody know of a lesson that covers these shuffle fill licks?

I’ve just created a forum topic about that:
Hope this helps,

I would also love to have access to the backing track for EP303 so that my buddy and I could learn it. It seems mostly simple enough to try and figure it out, but I still struggle greatly with that.
