Your practising sounds like playing a Song. My practising means playing only some notes over and over again. That’s the difference why I’m a bit jealous of you.

Dieter, first off thanks my friend for kind voice..secondly, this is not smooth like Brian and although it’s with the fingerstyle.. I envy how well Brian keeps almost perfect tempo and smooth for the time he spends on theses weekly compositions
I still think he ain’t doing these compositions in a few days..I think though even though he is cruzing these weekly lessons.. he has his own backlogged compositions probably in advanced at least three weeks maybe longer.. to work out each theses small compositions
I just am amazed how he belts them out each week! Regardless , he is working hard and doing a terrific job staying in front of all us lol.. anyways thanks man..( I been following him and learning here for at least five years now.. so I hope I’m holding my own here! lol..still want to practice these before going back or forward on any recent lessons.. I do like ep326 a real lot too! It is just so different and dynamic imho.. also I want to try some my own improvisation with that Tex Mex EP 326.. REALLY COOL LESSON Favorite too! enjoy Dieter ..it’s all we can do and why I like small lessons..nothing too difficult here but yet practice and being observant to his teachings is necessary! okay.. have a pork shoulder to pull in the crock pot! lol..later man!

I would be perfectly happy if Brian would take a break from cranking out his weekly lessons. He’s producing them at least twice as fast as I can learn them. And it’s not the fingering, it’s the remembering. My brain is full. I need a Delete button to remove all the useless stuff in my brain and make room for important stuff like guitar lessons.

This is my latest addition toy collect..Martin mahogany with the same specific strings when bought it new… Whatever the Martin silk wounds strung and recommended for this little gem. I should say I perfect for soft finger style but my fat fingers and style make it a bit more than I noticed watching and listening to my own showplay on it…. It is a warm hug little gem.. I highly rate it for anyone..even soft fingers would likely appreciate this gorgeous model..not much else I can say..go to Martin guitar and look I’m still reviewing it but very happy with it every time I play it.not as bright as a spruce top but certainly an exception for bluegrass and ragtime blues finger or pick.. going to polish off EP 329 good on this next time here..ty Ivan enjoy

Meelis I just read and follow along with the moving soundslice and tap my foot to the tempo.. most even me still need to practice tempo.. memorizing the tab is easy as reading a 2 year old children stork picture book.. the tabs are good reference. And anytime I come across something a bit new or different for me , I loop that section a few times until I get it close enough or at least to tempo.. I average about four hours to complete a decent run for any these lessons ..some give or take a few hours.. Also, I can never emphasize enough how playing slower is helping me progress a lot faster these days.
Just go super slow I for instance slowed down 70 % the original tempo until I can keep up from start to finish for any lesson. And I try not ignoring or skipping a note unless I know it sounds better than the original in each measure. You have fun go it slow rest.. my fingers are cramped from playing today lol.. I have ep 321 pretty good now, love them jazzy arpeggios in this country swing.. no doubt something to admire keeping up to tempo! okay just have fun.. I do maybe a bit too many showcases but it is fun!I am not sure if you are much for theory but I would highly recommend learning basic theory.. And if not into learning theory than just follow Brian because he explains good enough basic theory for the most part.
Did you know an arpeggios are an important part of the jazz improvisation vocabulary of horns and keyboards, guitars, and bass. In Western classical music, a chord that is played first with the lowest note and then with successive higher notes joining in is called arpeggiato. Sometimes this effect is reversed, with the highest note coming first. In some modern popular music arpeggiato is called a rolled chord. is notes played individually.. consecutively same note time signature
