The progression that Pete posted last week got me to thinking on some of the progressions that I’ve learned over the years. I can’t say for sure where this originated but its a good primer to 2 maj7 chord forms that are widely used. Once you have the first chord of the progression under your fingers, you slide the same form down as indicated below for the 2nd chord and then up 2 frets for the 3rd. It will resolve to a Dmaj7 chord near the open position
In the strum pattern, when a mute is indicated as an X, rake or scratch across the strings.
If I wanted to do a 1-4-5 blues with a bit of jazz flair, these 2 Chord forms would be a good place to start
If you aren’t familiar with either of these chord form, it may be bit of stretch for you
