Most people that want to learn how to play electric guitar are looking to play in a band with other musicians. The typical “rock band” set up consists of a drummer, bass player, keyboard and either 1 or 2 electric guitar players. Personally I’ve always thought the perfect band setup is a quartet (drums, bass, keyboard, guitar) because everyone brings a unique component and everyone has to pull their weight.
When taking electric guitar lessons, most people are looking for one of four things.
- How to play lead
- How to play rhythm
- How to play fills
- All of the above
Playing lead is most common of those 4 and playing a bluesy style lead is the most common style. ActiveMelody.com caters to blues lead guitar players by offering online electric guitar lessons at a fraction of the price of private, one-on-one guitar lessons.
Each week I add a new guitar lesson to ActiveMelody.com and more than half of them are electric guitar lessons.
