If you haven’t seen Jon Coppock’s Sad Slow Blues in A, check it out. I was impressed with his use of repetitive, fast, legato licks (among other techniques). I would love to see a thread related to the topic. If some of the faster players like Craig S, Richie B and now, Jon, could contribute some video with demonstration of location, picking/hammer-on, pull-off technique and preferred fingerings of their favourite repetitive licks I’d be in picker heaven. Pete, I’d love to see a sticky for such a thread in the technique section. Any seconders?

Great idea, John. My improvs/solos are usually derivatives of what I learned inBrian‘s Blues course and pentatonic or minor/major scale licks that I make up on the spot (and which too often contain notes that do not fit). Very recently I have been adding repetitive songs licks, which are a great sounding way of buying me time and at the same time make my solos more interesting. I would love to learn more about such licks, technique and tips.

Ale, You could probably contribute to that thread as well judging by your last rock video.

Good suggestion John; can I be there?

Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.
