Hey folks, I just wanted to share an awesome organization with you called “Instruments of Joy” out of Nashville that will take donated musical instruments and put them in the hands of those in developing countries that don’t have access to instruments.

If you’re wondering where my old Alvarez AP66 went, check out the video 🙂

Also, go here if you’d like to learn more about Instruments of Joy and how you can donate… https://instrumentsofjoy.org/

Thats a nice thing to do Brian, I have given a few guitars to local groups which go to disadvanraged kids or charity groups trying to raise funds, Ive also given guitars to local neighbourhood kids and adults, not expensive guitars but ones i have refurbished and brought back to a playing level..
I don’t think there is anyone in my area who take musical instruments to be distributed in 3rd world countries, I will ask around though.

They should team up with “Playing for Change”. Playing for Change not only donates equipment, but also funds music departments in underprivileged schools, and provides assistance to students who want to work toward a career in music. This gives them a way to potentially escape the world of poverty they were born into.

Well done, Brian. Looks as if it went to a good home, which is probably important if you are giving away such a nice instrument.
