Why Join the Active Melody Community?

The world is full of guitar players, yet decent guitar communities online are hard to come by, so I created the active melody community for those who (like me) share a passion for the guitar and needed a place to interact with others who share that same passion. This site is primarily for those interested in learning (or learning more) about how to play the guitar, but also covers a variety of guitar related material from analyzing great guitar players to discussions about vintage instruments.

Joining our community allows you to jump in on conversations in the forums, fill out a profile (and upload photos of your guitars), comment on blog posts and even take online lessons! The signup form on this page is free and allows you the ability to post on forums and lessons. Or you can sign up for a premium account for $5 (one time fee) which allows you to download all jam tracks and tablature

So if you've never even touched a guitar, or if you're Eric Clapton - join the conversation! I do send occasional emails, but nothing obnoxious I promise. You can always unsubscribe to emails if you don't wish to receive them.
